I paint not by sight but by faith. Faith gives you sight.

In the fall of 2016, I felt a deep longing to paint. I loved art when I was a child, but somewhere along the way of my 34 years of life, I lost touch with that part of myself.
I remember painting on an easel under the shady shelter of the mulberry trees in my backyard. I remember hand making potpourri from fresh flowers my mom and I bought at the grocery store. I remember excitedly photographing the world the way my eyes saw it through a camera that I won in a newspaper essay contest.
In April of 2017, I began The 100 Day Project. I committed to painting or drawing something every single day for 100 days. A daily habit soon revealed itself to be a place of deep spiritual and personal growth. I had absolutely no idea what I was doing as I committed to sharing my progress and my creations on Instagram. And yet, I discovered that I love abstract painting and that my prayers are deeply intertwined into pouring acrylic on to canvas. The project and the daily act of creating transformed me.
I reveal my heart and come to know my God through my creativity - painting, writing, designing, and crafting. I hope to share these things with you, too!

Creativity is...seeing something that doesn't exist already.
