Welcome friend! Again, thank you SO much for helping me with the new Petal and Prayer Junior Mail Club! Your thoughts will make future mailings so special for lots of other girls like you! Get Creative! Who doesn't love a little time to create! I thought it would be fun to make a simple charm necklace! What do you think? Supplies: shrinky dink material markers/colored pencils/acrylic paint pens oven cookie sheet Time Needed: 15 minutes Parent help advised! Important: This craft does require use of an oven, so you'll want to make sure your parent is free to help when needed. Pull out the shrinky dink material and string that was in your envelope. Color in the pieces however you like! You can use acrylic paint markers, colored pencils, or any markers you have handy. NOTE: You must color on the rough side of the shrinky dink pieces. Preheat your oven to 325 degrees. Once preheated place the colored charms on a cookie sheet (you can use parchment paper but you don't need it) and bake for 1 to 3 minutes. You will watch the charm curl up and flatten back out as it shrinks down in size. Once the charm is mostly flat, remove the tray from the oven. If the charm is a bit curled you can press on it with a spatula to flatten it out completely. Use the spatula to remove the charm from the cookie sheet. When it's cool to the touch, simply thread the string through it and tie to your desired length. If you'd rather, you can make it into a bracelet or tie it to your backpack or purse zipper. Feel free to add any other beads or decorations you have on hand! Taaadaa! You've just made the sweetest little accessory! My daughter, Grace (age 10), enjoyed making hers below! Listen for fun!Enjoy this beautiful song and know that you are God's beautiful child!
Share Your Thoughts! After you've looked at and used everything in your envelope, please fill out this form. Parents, please help type in responses :) Thank you!!!
